The aim of the game is to correctly predict the result in each of the matches featured in the competition.
Points will be awarded based on the accuracy of your prediction. Points awarded will vary depending on how many other people make the same prediction.
As suggested by the website name - results are taken from the end of the regulation 90 minutes play + stoppages but do NOT include extra time and penalties if played.
The winning entry will be the entry that collects the largest number of points by completion of the competition.
If you fail to make a prediction a random prediction will be assigned to your entry as soon as the kick-off time passes. This cannot be changed.
There are 3 levels of scoring for each match.
If you correctly predict the match result (Win/Lose/Draw) you will win an equal share of the 'Match Result' points with all others that correctly predicted the result.
If you correctly predict the match result AND by the correct winning margin you will win an equal share of the 'Winning Margin' points with all others with a correct prediction.
If you correctly predict the match result AND by the exact score you will win an equal share of the 'Correct Result' points with all others that also predicted the correct result.
If you predict the wrong result you will score 0 points for that match.
For each prediction made 1 point will be added to each of the 3 available prize pots.
Example
100 entries make a prediction for a match. So each of the 3 pots will have 100 points available.
The match result is 2-1.
70 players predicted a 'home' win. 100pts is divided equally between those players. 100/70 = 1.43 (rounded to 2dp)
30 players predicted a 'home' win by a 1 goal margin. 100pts is divided equally between those players. 100/30 = 3.34 (rounded to 2dp)
12 players predicted a 'home' win with the correct score. 100pts is divided equally between those players. 100/12 = 8.34 (rounded to 2dp).
If you predicted 3-1 you would receive a total of 1.43 points
If you predicted 1-0 you would receive a total of 1.43 + 3.34 = 4.77 points
If you predicted 2-1 you would receive a total of 1.43 + 3.34 + 8.34 = 13.11 points
If you predicted anything other than a home win you would receive 0 points.
